Internet telephony will provide substantial

cost benefits to small businesses

Advances in telephony, the Internet and technology in recent years now make it possible to make telephone calls over the Internet, which deliver tremendous cost, equipment and infrastructure savings for the widest range of businesses, claims Kinitron Total IT Care.

Known as Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), the new telephony service is destined to permanently change the way businesses use telephone systems during the next five years and deliver substantial benefits. In the past twelve months, Kinitron has developed a VoIP system that has been designed specifically for smaller businesses.

ìAt its most basic, users of the Kinitron VoIP telephony system will be able to eliminate the need, and the cost, of the installation of multiple BT lines,î comments Dr Xeno Andriopoulos, Managing Director of Kinitron. ìThey will be able to make outgoing calls to landlines in the UK, Western Europe and North America for just 1p per minute via broadband internet, either using a special VoIP Phone or a ësoft-phoneí on a PC.

ìThey will then be able to dedicate their standard BT line telephone to receive incoming calls. This will streamline the businessesí operations and ensure that they never miss a call or business opportunity, but will also alleviate the cost of additional BT telephone lines. In addition, users will enjoy free multi-party audio conferencing facilities. If they are calling a business or an individual who is also VoIP enabled then the telephone calls will be completely free.î

Users will also be able to route multiple phones via a broadband connection and a ëvirtual switchboardí can be used to play recorded messages to callers if the user is away from their desk or already on the phone.

Kinitron VoIP will also allow users to take their ëofficeí home with them. They will be able receive and make calls wherever they have broadband connectivity. This will provide them with infinite flexibility while retaining the ability to stay in touch.

Start up costs for the Kinitron VoIP system are attractively low. For 110 Kinitron will supply the VoIP phone, configure your PC or laptop and complete and test the installation. Additional phones on the same system can be installed later on.

Kinitron will also provide training on the system and for a small monthly service charge will provide full back-up and support including the provision of itemised billing of call costs ñ most of which will be just pence!
