Hundreds of HR & payroll professionals descended on the Novotel, London West in Hammersmith earlier last week for the bi-annual Softworld HR & Payroll event, which saw the latest products and services unveiled as well as topical issues debated by industry experts.
Employment law and legislation, outsourcing, and successful human capital management, are amongst the key issues affecting HR and payroll professionals to emerge from last weekís event, which took place from 21- 22 February. Over 700 visitors attended the event to learn more about these hot topics, as identified by leading experts from SAKS Consulting, Sweet and Maxwell and The IPPM. The RAC plc, Pret A Manger and the University of Manchester were among six of the selection and implementation case studies detailing problems faced and the success achieved.
Softworld HR & Payroll also featured an exhibition of around 30 leading suppliers of software solutions. On the showfloor, around half of exhibiting companies showcased new products and services, or made new product announcements, these included:
- Topaz launched advanced new products and latest versions for its integrated software range and also launched the breakthrough new Topaz HR Advisor. This service now offers an online outsourced HR resource to steer companies through the increasingly dangerous minefield of employment legislation.
- Intellect highlighted the concept of total HR and payroll integration and demonstrated its comprehensive Workforce HR and Payroll portfolio.
- Adrenalin eSystems together with its client DACG presented a case study of how Adrenalin HR and Resource Manager modules helped the company achieve bottom line benefits in less than 3 months.
- Safe Computing launched a new Fixed Price Implementation Programme for Elite, its leading HR & Payroll product. The new programme called ëElite to Goí has been designed specifically to compliment Safe Elite, it delivers a cost effective implementation solution at a fixed and all inclusive price, which not only helps organisations to budget their costs more accurately but also assists them in reducing risk and achieving a successful and timely project completion.
- ICS Computing launched its next generation human capital management software suite Perito HR & Payroll. Formerly known as UniPims, the well-established HR and payroll software has undergone radical redevelopment in line with current best practice and latest technological innovations.
- First Advantage Corporation, a global risk mitigation and business solutions provider, appeared at the Softworld HR and Payroll show for the first time to showcase its Hiring Management System (formerly known as Projectix).
