The International Association for Human Resources Information Management (IHRIM) announced its 2008 Excellence Award winners. IHRIMís Excellence Award is presented to members who have made significant contributions to advancing the mission and goals of IHRIM through their exemplary association volunteer service and/or for their leadership of an IHRIM project.
IHRIM will recognize Excellence Award winners Magee Filitor-Murray and Alexia Martin on Monday, June 2 at IHRIMís 2008 Conference and Technology Exposition in Orlando, Fla.
Magee Filitor-Murray
Magee Filitor-Murray is currently a human resources information systems (HRIS) corporate consultant for Partners HealthCare System, Inc. An IHRIM member for 15 years, Magee has served on its New England board of directors for more than a decade, including as chapter president. She currently serves as the vice president/membership director.
At the association level, she has served on many IHRIM committees, including the Education Committee, Chapter Advisory Group and several years on the Conference Content Committee. She has also served on several ad hoc committees, including the Webinar Task Force and the recent Database Taskforce. In 2006, Filitor-Murray initiated the New England Chapter volunteer program ñ the Handshake Program. This program is now on the project list for the Leadership Effectiveness Committee to turn it into a tool for all IHRIM affinity groups, thus benefiting the association at large.
ìMagee has been a vocal supporter of the association and the value of membership since 1993,î said Lynne Mealy, president of IHRIM. ìShe is a tireless volunteer at both the chapter and association level, and represents everything that IHRIM is about.î
Alexia Martin
Alexia (Lexy) Martin is currently director, Research and Analytics at CedarCrestone where she is responsible for the companyís HR systems survey. She has more than 35 years of experience in introducing workplace-oriented systems and emerging technologies, including analytics.
Martin has been an IHRIM member since 1994 and is a member of the Human Capital Metrics consortium. She currently serves on the IHRIM HR Metrics and Workforce Analytics Affinity Groupís board of directors. She is a frequent contributor to the publication IHRIM.link and has recently been appointed as co-chair of IHRIM.linkís Editorial Committee.
ìLexyís role as author and educator for IHRIM has been invaluable,î said Lynne Mealy, president of IHRIM. ìThrough her effort, IHRIM has partnered with CedarCrestone for a number of years on its HR systems survey. This provides IHRIM members the opportunity to participate in this leading industry survey and receive the results.î
