HSA in top 50 once again!

According to The Sunday Times, working for healthcare provider HSA is positively good for your health

According to The Sunday Times, working for healthcare provider HSA is positively good for your health. Little wonder then, that for the fourth consecutive year HSA has made the top 100, coming 44th in the 2006 Best Companies to Work for awards.

2005 was a busy year for HSA - three new businesses joined the group and a fourth was launched, increasing staff numbers from 720 to 1200. A survey conducted in advance of the awards revealed that 82% of staff say that work is not affecting their health and 72% are happy with their work/life balance, ranking HSA overall eighth in this area. Team spirit continues to be very high in the organisation with 82% saying their colleagues are fun to work with and 80% saying they care a lot about each other.

On this yearís position, chief executive Des Benjamin had this comment: ìAfter such a busy year with huge organisational change, being one of the top 50 companies to work for is actually something rather special. Every day we make a difference by helping millions of people with their healthcare and I am enormously proud of our achievements over the last year.î

More than 86,500 employees across more than 500 companies contributed to this yearís findings, making it the most comprehensive study of British workplaces ever undertaken.
