Recruitment company, HR GO Wells, is delighted to be among the first tranche of labour suppliers in the UK to have been successfully audited by the Temporary Labour Working Group (TLWG), an ethical working initiative set up to protect temporary workers within the food chain from unscrupulous gangmasters in the UK.
With two offices in Wells, Somerset and Trowbridge, the company supplies temporary and permanent staff across a wide range of industries via national brand names such as PSB Recruitment, Staffsign, Exectec and Estate Agency Appointments. HR GO Wells has undergone vigorous assessment of its internal procedures and employment practices to ensure a commitment to the highest standards of safety and well-being for its labour force in the workplace environment.
A hot industry topic, especially in light of last weekís conviction of the gangmaster responsible for the Morecambe Bay tragedy, the TLWG is working along side the Gangmaster Licensing Authority (GLA) to encourage all suppliers to use only labour providers who are working in compliance of the Code of Practice and those who have obtained a licence.
Successfully completing the audit means that HR GO Wells are virtually assured to be approved to receive the GLAís licence and will be an officially approved labour supplier in readiness for when this becomes obligatory for certain labour providers to meet the requirements of the food chain in autumn this year.
