A new service, thought to be the first of its kind in the UK, has been launched by a Northamptonshire company.
PreferredSupplierList.com (PSL) will help organisations to register interest from prospective recruitment agencies via the internet. Rather than fielding dozens of phone calls a day, staff will be able to ask Recruitment suppliers to register online rather than ëcold callí hiring managers.
Users can either add a customised PSL registration form to their website or a link directing prospective suppliers to the same form on the PSL website. Any one of four service levels then manages the process of registering new agencies.
The information on approved and prospective suppliers is collated in a secure online database, where it can be accessed by all approved individuals within an organisation.
Adrian McDonagh, managing director at EasyWebRecruitment.com, which has developed the product in conjunction with its internet recruitment service, explains that their experience as a leading flat fee online recruitment service was key to developing the PSL product.
ìWe work closely with the HR departments of major companies like Nike, Canon and Tesco, as well as dozens of SMEs. Regardless of size they almost all complain about two key problems.
ìFirstly, they get too many cold calls from agencies and, secondly, recruiting managers use agencies that are not formally approved. PSL is the solution to both of these problems.
ìWith PSL clients will no longer lose large chunks of their day fielding cold calls, but wonít miss out on the opportunity to engage an agency that can really deliver for them,î added Adrian.
ìHigh quality agencies who are genuinely interested in developing long term relationships only have to spend three to four minutes completing our client form. Relationships then develop in a more structured and time efficient manner.î
Like EasyWebRecruitment.com, the service is completely customisable. Clients can have forms designed to their exact needs, ensuring that agencies only get entered as potential suppliers if they can meet their commercial terms. Furthermore, each registration form has a unique set of questions that assist the client in gaining a real insight to the agency prior to making contact.
ìAgencies are approved at a time of the clientís choosing via the online database. This database then acts as a live list of approved suppliers, accessible by all recruiting managers. Multiple lists can be developed for each area of their business so there is no excuse for not using approved suppliers.î
ìUsers can also record placements via agencies and report on agency performance,î he added, ìwhich will allow them to spend more time working with their best performing agencies.î
