Hitachi Europe outsources to Ceridian Centrefile

Hitachi Europe Ltd. has achieved strategic HR benefits by outsourcing its UK payroll and associated HR administrative functions to Ceridian Centrefile.

Previously, the payroll for 560 employees was administered in-house. Following a strategic review of its HR function, Hitachi and its partner Group companies decided to outsource the payroll function and associated administrative activities. The timing was chosen to coincide with the payroll administrator leaving.

The payroll went live with Ceridian Centrefile in December 2004, and is managed by its Leeds PayCentre. In addition to payroll administration, the service includes sickness absence tracking, telephone support to employees, and liaison with the benefits and pension providers. Payslips are delivered electronically via the Internet and also in traditional paper format direct to employeesí office or home address.
