Harvey Nash plc today announced that Steve Durbin has been appointed as Head of the Technology Practice within its Executive Search division. Steve takes over from Nick Marsh who has been promoted to global managing director for Executive Search.
Steve is tasked with driving further success in the technology practice across the UK and in Europe. He joins from Ernst & Young where he was marketing director for Northern Europe, Middle East, India and Africa (NEMIA). In this role, Steve was responsible for accelerating the expansion of the business across the region by focusing on fast-growth, entrepreneurial organisations.
Prior to this, Steve was senior vice president at Gartner where he developed a range of business and IT solutions for global investment and entrepreneurial markets. During his nine years at Gartner, he built up considerable experience in the technology and telecoms markets where he was involved with mergers and acquisitions of companies across Europe and the US. He also advised a number of global technology companies on IPOs on the FTSE, NASDAQ and NYSE markets. During his career, Steve was also vice president and general manager of a NYSE-listed global outsourcing business.
