Graduate recruitment specialist Pareto Law has appointed its first franchisee, Paul Belliss and opened a new regional office in Leeds to cover the Yorkshire-Humberside area.
The firm, which places and trains graduates in the sales and marketing sector, has offices in London and Wilmslow and plans to use the franchise model to grow the business throughout the UK over the next three years.
Since setting up the company in 1995, founders Jonathan Fitchew and Andrew Sawer have established Pareto Law as the UKís most prolific graduate recruiter with current placements running at 700 annually and overall revenues in excess of 4 million.
On the opening of the Leeds office Jonathan Fitchew commented: The model is ideal for franchising. You get two revenue streams from placement and ongoing training. For the entrepreneur that means they can build a business with real intrinsic value that is highly scalable.
Prior to setting up the Pareto Law Leeds franchise, Paul Belliss age 43 worked for Camelot, the National Lottery operator, where he was a consultant to the interactive division. He has held a number of senior IT and operations management positions with large organisations such as Transport Development Group, BOC, Vibraplant and BUPA. Paul has a BSc in computer science from Sheffield University and holds an MBA.
The Pareto Law Proposition
Pareto Law has developed a graduate recruitment service based on a rigorous selection method. From thousands of CVs each application is read in detail, before candidates are narrowed down and contacted by telephone for a first informal interview.
Successful graduates are invited to attend assessment days where they are interviewed and monitored by a team of experts backed by state-of-the-art psychometric testing. Following a further interview the candidate is briefed and put forward to a suitable prospective employer.
If successful, the graduate is offered a position and receives five days of intensive training with the Pareto Training team prior to starting their new career. In the first three months the graduates return to Pareto Training for a further six days of training.
In addition to recruiting and placing new graduate sales personnel Pareto Law also provides sales training programmes for existing sales staff at the companyís Wilmslow and London training centres.
