gradcracker.co.uk, the website dedicated to the recruitment of graduate Engineers, is now being rolled out to encompass all the countries in the European Union. Gradcrackerʼs Emma Baldry, who heads up the University Liaison team, told us: ʻWith so many global and Pan-European companies advertising on gradcracker, itʼs not surprising that they also need to attract Engineering students from outside the UK.
Many of our advertisers have vacancies across the EU, so it makes perfect sense to roll out gradcracker in this way.ʼ
Communicating with the European Universities will not be a problem for gradcracker. Emma herself is fluent in Spanish, whilst other members of gradcrackerʼs multi-lingual team speak French, German or Italian.
Paulina Papp, an Account Manager with gradcracker, is Swedish and can speak all the Scandinavian languages. Initially, gradcracker will focus on the top 150 European universities (published by Top Universities Guide) and the site will be promoted under the domain name gradcracker.com.
Emma continued ʻEveryone at gradcracker is really excited about branching out into the EU. To say the site is only just over 6 months old, weʼre all absolutely delighted with the visitor numbers we have achieved and have high hopes that we will be equally successful throughout Europe.ʼ The site now has over 3,000 registered Engineering students and gradcracker has delivered more than 50,000 visitors to employersʼ websites. Feedback from employers is excellent, with many now signing up to advertise until August 2009.
