GCS, IT recruitment specialists, has been awarded a ëtwo starí status in the Sunday Times Best Companies accreditation. The ëMichelin styleí two stars signify GCSís outstanding achievement in workplace engagement.
The Best Companies Accreditation was established seven years ago to acknowledge corporate excellence in the workplace. With workplace engagement an integral component of an organisationís success and growth, the accreditation is highly sought after with 653 organisations entering this year.
GCS was judged through employee surveys, where success was determined by how highly staff rate the organisation based on eight elements, such as: personal growth, well being and giving something back. Evaluations and site visits followed next to evaluate the atmosphere of the organisation and policies in action. GCS was then given a Best Companies Index Score, which determined its star rating. With a score of 730, GCS was just eight points off achieving a highly sought after three star score.
Chris Bartlett, GCSí managing director, said: ìWe are delighted to earn the Best Companies Accreditation and it is all the more rewarding knowing that our staff have been the main factor in us achieving this. Staff at GCS are very highly valued and we constantly strive to create a working environment that is supportive, and where performance is rewarded. This accreditation upholds our commitment to put our staff at the heart of our business strategy and in return attract fresh talent to work with us.
ìWe are obviously thrilled to get a two star accreditation but are a little disappointed that we were so close to the three star award. We are confident though that we know what we need to do to ensure that we hit the three star level next year.î
With its employeesí focus and commitment, GCS now has a clear vision for the future and plans to open more offices in the UK and further afield.
