GCS an IT recruitment specialist, has been ranked 30th place in the elite Sunday Times Top 100 ëBest Small Companies to Work Forí list ñ established to acknowledge corporate excellence in the workplace. This year 513 organisations battled for a place in the elite top 100.

With a recent new office opening in Birmingham and plans to expand into Bristol and further afield the company hopes its placement in the ëTop 100í will demonstrate its credentials as a great place for employees to work and prosper.

GCSí employees reported to the Times 100 that the company is well organised, with real clarity on individual job roles and responsibilities and a great sense of teamwork, with colleagues going out of their way to help. Training and development scored highly, with in-house ìmaster classesî given by employees, regular reviews and a bonus scheme for managers that takes into account, how they develop people rather than being based purely on financial achievement. GCSí staff also say the training is of great personal benefit and that overall the company is really fun to work for.

Chris Bartlett, GCSí managing director, said: ìWe are absolutely delighted to receive such an accolade and it is all the more rewarding knowing that our people have been instrumental in helping us to achieve this. Our people are very highly valued and we constantly strive to create a working environment that is both supportive and rewarding. Our commitment to put our workforce at the heart of our business strategy and, in return, attract fresh new talent will continue as the company grows.î

With its employeesí focus and commitment, GCS now has a clear vision for the future and plans to open more offices in the UK and further afield.
