Future of work film set to be unveiled in exclusive premier at CIPD event

A new film showcasing what HR professionals can expect from the future of work is set to be unveiled at a premiere screening at the CIPD’s inaugural Festival of Work event, in June.

Human Resources and payroll software specialist Cascade has produced the short ‘movie’ following dialogue with HR and business leaders throughout the country. Covering everything from wellbeing and the increasingly diverse workforce, through to automation and AI, the thought-provoking film is designed to empower HR professionals to leverage the potential that future change can bring to the workplace.

It will be played for the first time at 11:15 on 13 June – complete with popcorn. The audience will then have 20 minutes to continue the debate and put their questions to a trio of industry experts – Stephanie Kelly, Chief People Officer from IRIS Software Group; Jo Graham, an experienced HR Officer from Trowers & Hamlins LLP; and wellbeing specialist Natasha McCreesh, founder of PiP To Grow Strong.

But this will not be Cascade’s debut on the CIPD’s Festival of Work stage. On day 1 16:30-17:00, head of sales Marc Greggains will take a trip down memory lane to explore some of the technological ‘artefacts’ that have changed the workplace over the past quarter of a century. This celebratory, immersive session playing iconic music from throughout the years, will allow delegates to get hands-on with the gadgets that have disappeared from the workplace – as well as one or two that could revolutionise how we work in the future.

Elsewhere, Cascade will be exhibiting on its biggest CIPD stand to date. The 96m² interactive hub (stand C120) will feature 14 demonstration pods enabling delegates to explore the brand’s two hero cloud technologies – CascadeGo (the HRMS for SMEs), and the enterprise product for larger and/or faster-growth businesses with up to 10,000+ employees.

Commenting on the demonstrations on offer on stand C120, Marc Greggains said: “Every year, the Cascade hub is standing room only as professionals crowd to try out our software. So for 2019, we’ve gone even bigger! We won’t just be walking delegates through a pre-rehearsed system overview – every demo is tailored to what people want to see. Whether it’s GDPR compliance reassurance, savvy reporting, best practice absence management workflows, or some of the most exciting ways to capture attention in the boardroom, we can explore all of this and more when HR and payroll professionals come and see us!”
