From Chess to Candidates

Matthew Simmons, former Chess Expert, has now made his best strategic move by opening a Select and Parkhouse franchise office in Hemel Hempstead.

Simmons, who has represented Jersey in three World Chess Olympiads, recently moved to the Hertfordshire area and decided to pursue a franchise opportunity with the UKís leading staffing services company Select.

Opening his doors earlier this year, Simmons, a HR and recruitment professional with over 10 years experience, is delighted with his new business. ìI was interested in Select initially due to the strong brand recognition of the companyî Simmons explains ìSelect was already well known to me as the Edgware office found jobs for both myself and a large number of my friends when other agencies could not. However the main decision for choosing Select was due to their proven franchise model and the quality of staff at Head Office - their obvious professionalism combined with the fact that they all believe in the brand and clearly enjoy working for the company.

From his Hemel Hempstead office at 111 Marlowes, Simmons will be working closely with local business and people in order to achieve his business goal: finding jobs for people and people for jobs.

Operating both the Parkhouse and Select brands, the Hemel Hempstead office specialises in temporary and permanent staff for the light industrial and commercial sector.

Select and Parkhouse will be exhibiting at The British and International Franchise Exhibition at Olympia, London on 23 and 24 March 2007.
