ìStarî law firm Freeth Cartwright is now officially one of the Best Companies to Work for in the UK.

At a prestigious presentation in London, the law firm, with offices in Nottingham, Derby, Leicester, Manchester and Birmingham, was announced as a new winner of the coveted award, given only to companies who demonstrate a commitment to ìbeing the best they can be in every area of the workplace and in supporting the day-to-day working lives of their workforceî.

And it has been confirmed that Freeth Cartwright is the only law firm in the East Midlands to have been accredited with the accolade and one of only two law firms across the Midlands.

Freeth Cartwright chairman Colin Flanagan commented: ìThis is great news for the firm, as the Best Companies Accreditation was awarded following consultation with people who work here. Organisations who are considered for accreditation are measured on eight key factors by using 16 questions identified by Best Companies to create a Best Companies index score, which then determines whether or not they achieve a star rating.

Employees are asked about such things as how they feel about their managers, and of the companyís values and principles, personal development and training, overall wellbeing and the extent to which they feel their organisation has a positive impact on society.

Freeth Cartwright will be listed on the Best Companiesí website as well as in their annual Best Red Book that will be marketed to recruitment centres such as universities, libraries, careers offices, and available for purchase at leading book stores.
