Sona launches new Shape Shifters programme to help employers encourage staff to make positive life changes in 2005

As part of its commitment to promoting positive health, Sona is launching its Shape Shifters programme across all 110 of its corporate sites. As one of Europeís leading experts in the provision of positive health services and in-house corporate fitness and lifestyle centres, Sona has designed an innovative programme to offer employees personalised nutrition, weight management and fitness assessment programmes.

Shape Shifters integrates fitness, nutrition and education to give the ëout of shapeí a real opportunity to make positive life changes in 2005. Through the Shape Shifters initiative, employers can offer staff short-term three-month membership, which includes an eight-week weight management course. The course is designed to help employees make positive lifestyle changes. Weekly presentations, weight-loss/weight gain sessions and optional weight monitoring are balanced with informative packs on topics such as the psychology of eating and nutrition facts. Each programme sets personal goals and individuals are treated to a free personal training session each month. This checks progress, updates their personal programme and gives staff a thorough workout.

Julia Lloyd, Managing Director of Sona Mind & Body comments, As the market leader in the corporate health and fitness industry, we constantly strive to design and introduce innovative products for our clients to ensure that all of their staff are receiving the support they need. The Shapeshifters programme will encourage employees to take a holistic view of health management. As a result we expect that staff will experience a boost in energy and morale. The outcome for employers is a happier, healthier and more motivated workforce more likely to be productive and less likely to experience health problems.
