FirstAssist embraces a culture of compliance

FSA approval prepares health and wellbeing expert for 2005

Health and wellbeing expert, FirstAssist Insurance Services Limited, has announced that it has received formal Grant of Permission notice from the FSA. As from 14th January 2005 FirstAssist will be undertaking all regulated activity for its market leading health, legal, travel and creditor insurances under the new regime.

Comments Tim Ablett, Chief Executive of FirstAssist, Of course, getting these permissions is only the first step. We are well placed to rise to the challenge in 2005 of ensuring we fully embed a compliance culture throughout all that we do, as we take FirstAssist into a fully regulated environment and the next exciting phase of our development.

We are also pleased with the support from our intermediaries who have confirmed they are authorised to conduct general insurance business under the FSA.

Everyone within the organisation is committed to embracing the controls, procedures and standards that both support our FSA authorisation and ensure that our customers and intermediaries receive a fair and highly professional service. By taking personal responsibility and pride in maintaining and developing these standards, we will continue with our aim to become the provider of choice in each of our markets.
