Final call for entries to this years One in a Million Temp Award

Do you have a temporary worker that is truly exceptional ñ why not put them forward for this yearís prestigious ëOne in a Millioní awards.

The One in a Million award, organised by REC, is the only national award given to recognise excellence within the temporary and contract workforce.

The judges include editors from leading sector and recruitment trade magazines as well as the DTI, and the awards will be presented by Gerry Sutcliff MP at a House of Commons ceremony. Swift Employee Benefits are sponsoring a fabulous range of prizes including 500 of experience vouchers for the agency that nominates the overall winner.

Lucy Geldard, REC Brand Director, says ìThe One in a Million awards are part of National Temporary Workers Week and are a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the work that temps do. Over 1.2 million temps go out to work everyday and the temporary labour market turns over billions of pounds. There are significant threats from Brussels as many European countries believe that temporary workers are treated like second class citizens. It is up to the recruitment industry to show their temps, clients and key stakeholders that we truly value the contribution of temporary workers in the UKî.
