Extended HR And Payroll Contract For Topaz Helps Imperial Tobaccoís Centralisation Plan

Topaz has extended HR and Payroll software links with Imperial Tobacco following a remarkable vote of confidence by the customerís staff.

The Imperial Tobacco team at Bristol effectively fought a rearguard action for the HR and payroll software developer when it was announced that the Topaz system they were using successfully would no longer be needed, due to centralisation at the lead factory in Nottingham.

With Topaz having previously gone that extra mile in software customisation at Bristol, the bond between customer and supplier was unusually strong. The strength of the recommendations influenced Imperial Tobacco to replace its outdated system at Nottingham and plan the centralisation around Topaz EMS HR and Payroll.

Another consideration in Imperial Tobacco retaining the services of its existing supplier was the capability of the Topaz Web Portal to increase overall efficiency.

This advanced technology enables supervisors across all of the Imperial Tobaccoís remote sites to have immediate access, via a web browser, to HR information on diaries, overtime, holidays and sickness, as well as being able to submit timesheet entries directly into the Topaz Payroll system at Nottingham.
