Woodcote Software, the holding company for expressHR and Voyager Software, today announces a management buy-in led by ex-Prevx CEO Nick Ray. Ray is also appointed as Chief Executive Officer, assuming overall responsibility for global operations of the recruitment software group. Founder and ex-CEO Geoff Warburton moves to a strategic role, assuming responsibility for the groupís entry into new markets as well as the development of existing channels.
The management buy-in is supported by VC firm South East Growth Fund and injects 500,000 of fresh capital into the business, with the additional funding being used to further strengthen the Woodcote proposition. This capital supports the growth and development of expressHRís market-leading Vendor Management System and Online Timesheet solutions, currently used by companies such as Manpower, Pertemps and Eden Brown. The funding will also be used to launch new products designed to expand Voyagerís recruitment agency software portfolio.
Nick specializes in building technology businesses and is an entrepreneur with over 25 years experience in the sector. He has held senior management positions for over 17 years and was most recently founder and CEO of pioneering internet security company Prevx, taking the company from start-up to sale in just four years.
Prior to this Nick founded and ran business advisory firm Clarity International, which worked with high-growth technology vendors and service providers across the US and Europe and was sold in 2000.
Working with Nick as non-executive Chairman is Sven Skarendahl. Sven is currently chairman of LBI, Europeís leading digital media agency with over 1,400 employees, which is quoted on the Stockholm and Amsterdam exchanges. He also holds a number of non-executive board posts, including quoted firm Nordnet AB and Libertas Capital PLC.
Nick Ray said, ìI am excited by the potential of both expressHR and Voyager as they have superb underlying technology, impressive clients and partners and a strong operational management team.î
Ian Wolter, Chairman and CEO of expressHR partner Eden Brown, said ìWe welcome these developments, which further strengthen expressHR and will serve to reinforce our partnership.î
Carmen Watson, Managing Director of Pertemps said, ìThis is clearly great news for employees and customers of expressHR. These moves will enable expressHR to continue to grow and have confidence for the future in marketing class-leading technologyî.
expressHRís solutions are the underlying technology used by major recruitment agencies, enabling vendor management services contracts with major corporate organizations such as HP and numerous local government organisations. Voyager Software is an established provider of solutions to recruitment agencies worldwide, and a company with an excellent reputation for the usability of its products and for its customer service.
