European Employers Greet HR Outsourcing With Open Minds

HRO World Europe Conference in Brussels 23-24 November 2004 is selling-out fast

When the $55 billion global human resources outsourcing, or HRO phenomenon hits Brussels November 23-24, 2004, European employers are showing open minds and agendas.

The organizers of the HRO World Europe Conference say that the event is 95% sold-out for sponsors and exhibitors. Online attendee registrations are also far ahead of expectations. Our responses from both the HRO provider community and HRO buyers have been overwhelming, says Andrew Kris, Chairman of the Advisory Board for the Brussels-based Shared Services and Business Process Outsourcing Association (SBPOA), and Co-Chairman of the event. We were expecting a good show of support, but we have been quite surprised by the strength of the interest in HRO, which is driven by significant global macroeconomic forces. If people are interested in attending this event they should be registering now as places are being booked very quickly.

The HRO World Europe Conference comes on the heels of the record-setting HRO World Conference in New York City in April, 2004 which drew over 2,700 attendees, 150 sponsors and exhibitors and featured 120 expert speakers. Although HRO World Europe will be more exclusive, with a maximum capacity of 250-300 attendees, the event is expected to be by far the largest and most informative conference and exhibition to be held in Europe in 2004 on this topic.

Although this is definitely the event for all professionals involved or planning to outsource HR processes, says Luca Segantini, Executive Director of the SBPOA. there are many executives participating to hear more and network on the available options to transform the HR function, including shared services, offshoring and technology. Even though you are not transforming HR in your organization right now, you should be attending to get a comprehensive update on why, how and with whom global corporations are doing this today.

The Sponsor list for the inaugural HRO World Europe, November 23-24, 2004 at Brussels’ Conrad Hotel is a who’s who of the HRO provider community: Lead Sponsors: Accenture HR Services, ARINSO People Services, EDS, LogicaCMG, Siemens Business Services. Service Provider Sponsors: ACS, ADP, Borderless Executive Search, Convergys Employee Care, IBM, Randstad, SAP. Media Partners: International Herald Tribune, People Management. Exhibitors: SHL.

The HRO World Europe Conference is jointly produced by the SBPOA and Outsourcing Today LLC, publishers of HRO Today and HRO Europe magazines. Online registration is at
