Eteach in top 10 employment websites

Celebrations this month at Eteach.com

Celebrations this month at Eteach.com, the education recruitment website, as a massive increase in site traffic propelled it into the Hitwise top ten most visited employment websites for the first time on 7th of January 2005. This breakthrough also coincided with record membership figures of 240,000 registered members in January 2005.

ëThis is a great achievement for us because we are a specialist job board, only dealing with teacher/education recruitment. Now we have broken the Hitwise top ten barrier and joined the likes of generalist job boards Monster and Reed.í says Sam Williams, Marketing Manager at Eteach.com, the UKís largest online teacher recruitment site.

Williams attributes the uplift in traffic to teachers being particularly active this month in searching for a new appointment starting after Easter, to improvements in the site design encouraging teachers to re-visit and to Eteachís innovative offline ëSherlock Holmesí advertising campaign in the teaching press.

Eteachí CEO Paul Howells is delighted with the figures and comments ëOur strategy of responding to the needs teachers and schools has been well received from day one and is strongly supported by the major teaching unions, local education authorities and head teacher associations. We are growing rapidly as a teachers become more comfortable with looking for jobs online. Eteach is producing fantastic results finding teachers for schools faster and cheaper than before. We will continue to improve and develop our services to suit the needs of the UK teaching profession.í
