A serial entrepreneur from Loughborough has begun 2008 by launching his latest venture ñ a recruitment franchise for Esprit People.

Steve Rynton has run both a business consultancy and a multi million pound engineering firm in a career spanning almost 40 years.

While he could not see himself working for somebody else, when he learned of recruitment consultancy Esprit People, he knew he wanted to get involved in the business somehow.

Steve said: ìI was looking for a venture which I could get up and running quickly and somebody suggested I look at franchising.

ìBut despite looking at lots of opportunities, nothing caught my imagination ñ until I came across Esprit People.î

Esprit is a recruitment agency which specialises in sourcing temporary and permanent staff for companies in the engineering, industrial, driving and commercial sectors.

Unlike its competitors, the company prides itself on providing the best client care with the highest calibre of both temporary and permanent staff ñ as opposed to simply large databases of candidates.

One of the reasons it is able to do this is because the firm does a lot of its officesí administration centrally from its head office, freeing up franchisees to build strong relationships with both new and existing clients and candidates.

Established in Leeds in 1993, the company now has 12 offices across England, but with the help of experts at The Franchise Group, has recently begun a more extensive roll out nationwide by franchising.

Steve added: ìAs soon as I met the directors, I knew this was a company I wanted to work with.

ìSince then, Iíve recruited three excellent consultants to work with me and together, weíre now ready to source both temporary and permanent staff for businesses in most sectors.

ìLike any business, weíre only as strong as our team of staff and Iím fortunate to have three excellent consultants with considerable recruitment experience across various sectors.î

Although his initial focus will be on building the business in Loughborough, Steve is already considering his next move. ìThis is only the start for me, and for the consultants I have on board.

ìThe long term aim is to build throughout Leicestershire and the Midlands, with the consultants we take on growing to become shareholders in the overall business across this region.î

Tom Liptrot, director of Esprit People, said: ìWe are very excited by the start Steve has made, and the team he has in place, and are looking forward to seeing the business flourish under his guidance.î

Rob Hartfield, of The Franchise Group, added: ìOne of Espritís strengths as a business is that they do a lot of back office work for clients centrally from their headquarters in Leeds.

ìWhen it comes to rolling out nationwide, that means that franchisees are free to concentrate on providing a high quality of service without having to worry about a lot of the administration and paperwork.

ìThat model, together with Steveís impressive track record, means Iím certain he will be a great success.î
