Enterprise Rent-A-Car drove-off stiff competition, Clifford Chance, IBM, PwC, Barratt Developments, and last year’s winners, L’Oréal to win the prestigious Graduate Employer of the Year award.
Now in its twelfth year, the awards were presented by Jack Whitehall and attended by over 1,000 guests from the world of graduate recruitment. The award selections are based on a mixture of a select student judging panel, and a national survey of 52,000 students and recent graduates from 120 different universities, conducted by international research firm, trendence.
“Enterprise have a very strong focus on how the graduate programme fits into a longer-term career structure with the firm” commented one of the student panel judges.
“Throughout, there is an emphasis on career development, skill enhancement and work-life balance – qualities that students value and look for in a graduate career. Enterprise Rent-A-Car always seems to be at the forefront in looking for new ways to innovate on campus, and it’s this that keeps the brand fresh and exciting.”
In all, 29 awards were presented on the night including, Best Use of Social Media (winner: The Army), Best Apprenticeship Programme (winner: IBM) and the Diversity Recruitment Award (winner: FDM Group).
In addition to the top award, Enterprise also won the award for ‘The Advancement of Social Mobility in Graduate Recruitment’.
The night’s other stand-out performance came from Barclays, who won Most Popular Graduate Recruiter in Banking, Insurance and Financial Services; Best Undergraduate Internship/Vacation Programme, in addition to Katie Sands winning the Rising Star Award.
