Over 85 Staff from the Birmingham based specialist recruitment agency, NOW Recruitment, were treated to an inspirational talk from the highly regarded England Rugby Coach, Joe Lydon, at a conference to celebrate the companyís achievements throughout 2004.
The conference, which took place on 17th December 2004, was attended by over 85 staff from the company which is headquartered in Birmingham and also has offices in Ashford, Bristol, Cardiff, Southampton, Newcastle, Nottingham and Edinburgh.
The main highlight of the event was a ëSport Lessons from Businessí presentation by John Neal, a sports psychologist and advisor to Clive Woodward. John discussed various models for integrating successful sports practice into business, some of which were, and are still, being used by the England team. This presentation was backed up by ëtrue lifeí stories from Joe Lydon as to how these models have been instrumental in nurturing and developing the World Cup winning England team.

The joint presentation by John Neal and Joe Lydon was very inspirational and there were tips and advice for everyone to work on, take away and apply to their sections of the business.î
The presentation was a superb launch pad for the NOW Recruitment awards ceremony which followed. Awards were handed out for categories such as ëBest Branchí, ëBest Consultantí and ëBest Support Staffí. Consultants were then able to celebrate the success of the company in 2004 with a dinner, disco and evening of karaoke.
