Employment Background Investigations and Government Management Services provide FACIS to agencies

.

Owings Mills, MD, February 13, 2006 - Employment Background Investigations, Inc. (EBI) and Government Management Services, Inc. (GMS) have agreed to jointly provide FACIS to healthcare agencies nationwide, the two recently announced.

The strategic agreement means healthcare companies can now avoid many potential liabilities and the risks of hiring individuals with histories of performance or behavior problems.

For the first time EBI and its clients will now gain access to GMS tools that screen individuals and entities in the healthcare field against a historical database of adverse actions, exclusions and debarments, probations and letters of reprimand. This is made possible through GMSí Fraud Abuse Control Information System (FACIS), their powerful tool that reports on more than 800 sources and over 50 types of healthcare professionals and entities in all 50 states.

Ranging from physicians and PAs, nurses, mental health professionals and pharmacists to home health agencies, hospitals, clinics, managed care agencies and ambulatory services, FACIS puts a wealth of accurate data at the fingertips of EBI and its clients. This availability of this information helps healthcare companies avoid other potential liabilities and the risks of employing or even contracting with individuals whoíve been subject to performance or behavior problems in the past.

Our collaboration will enhance EBIís delivery of useful, insightful information to our healthcare clients, which include some of the largest and most prominent agencies in the industry, said Rick Kurland, President of EBI. EBI is committed to providing our customers with the information they need to make sound decisions in the employment process. By accessing FACIS, EBI can help our clients streamline their employment hiring process, all the while ensuring governmental compliance.

With their large healthcare client base and great reputation in the healthcare screening field, it was only natural we partner with EBI, said Lorinda Linthicum, Director of Marketing and Customer Relations of GMS. Both companies have deep commitments to the healthcare industry. By providing their clients with a one-stop shop for OIG/GSA sanctions, OFAC, FDA, DEA and Tri-Core actions along with scans of state actions, EBI has empowered their clients in the industry. These tools will greatly increase the ease with which their clients can ensure governmental compliance.
