ECHM, market leaders in commerce and professional services finance recruitment were listed for the first time in this yearís Sunday Times ì100 Best Small Companies To Work Forî.
Coming in at a strong No. 52 on the list, the company received huge support from its 101 UK staff based in offices across Birmingham, London, Leeds, Manchester and Windsor. They gave the firm an extremely high overall positive score of 86%.
ìWe are very pleased with this ranking,î comments John Hunter, CEO of ECHM, ìparticularly given the fact that the organisation has been through a lot of organisational change this year following the acquisition by Imprint plc in January 2005 and the departure of its five founders. However, it is clear from this ëTop 100í entry that we have managed that change successfully. Our employees have voiced their opinions and the results speak for themselves. We now have a highly motivated workforce, which is extremely proud to be a part the organisation and who thoroughly enjoy working here. We could not have asked for a better seal of approval.î
The Sunday Times listing indicated that pride at working for the company ranks at a loyalty-generating 81%. In part, this is attributable to initiatives such as well-received bespoke staff training and development programmes (80% stated their job was good for their personal growth), individually tailored employee contracts and attractive staff incentive schemes open to all employees.
As a result, ECHM employees feel very positive about themselves and their company: 83% feel that good work is widely recognised; 84% feel they make valuable contributions to the company and 80% feel they are kept well informed by management of what is happening around them.
ìOur strong performance is in line with what is being experienced by our sister firms within the Imprint plc group and this additional recognition is a tribute to the hard work, loyalty and commitment of our staff and they should all be very proud of what they have achieved over the last year,î said Mr. Hunter.
ECHMís sister company, Morgan McKinley, also made the Sunday Times Top 100 SME rankings. Both firms are part of the Imprint PLC group of recruitment companies. Imprintís other UK businesses, Imprint Search & Selection and WoodHamill were not eligible for entry as rules stipulate companies must have been trading for over five years. Imprint Search & Selection and WoodHamill were established in 2001.
