Getafinancejob, the latest UK online recruitment service for the finance sector has got off to a flying start with more than 10,000 visitors accessing the website at www.getafinancejob.com in its first month of operation.
The site, which launched in the Spring with over 500 pre-registered candidates, is already advertising over 3,000 positions and feedback, says CEO Richard Jaques, is very encouraging.
ìFinance was one of the first sectors to embrace online recruitment, but the strong interest in our new job board proves there is room for a site that is cleaner, crisper and easier to use.î
The site targets posts with salaries upwards of 25,000, but it does include the whole range from new graduate positions to 150,000 packages. Its geographical spread is also truly nationwide, with jobs currently advertised from Aberdeen to Plymouth.
Itís been built by leading software solutions company Madgex (who have also designed the Times on Line, ComputerWeekly.com and PersonnelToday.com web sites) using latest generation Web 2.0 look and feel, which places the emphasis on functional and friendly rather than flamboyant but hard to navigate.
James Burton, Sales Director at Madgex adds, ìBeing selected by a fast moving start-up business like The Geta Network is fantastic for us. Getaís passion and commitment is mirrored by our teamís desire to deliver world class online recruitment websites so weíre extremely excited at the prospect of at least another four launches for Geta this yearî.
Getafinancejob is the first of four ëGetaí branded networks being launched by Richard Jaques and his team in 2007. It is supported by an extensive search engine optimisation and marketing campaign led by recruitment and publishing specialists Site Visibility.
Richard is a 43-year-old KPMG-trained accountant with 20 years experience in a variety of senior finance positions in marketing services and recruitment, including with TCS Recruitment in the mid 1990s ñ then the UKís largest privately owned recruitment company and whose subsidiary company, Taps.com, was one of the UKís first job boards.
Richard said: ìOur belief is that if you are looking for a new job with a profession or skill base, then you want to be able to find a job online without having to wade through thousands of other jobs which are completely irrelevant to you.
ìAt Geta jobseekers will be able to search by their specific skill or profession, thereby finding the right job for them more quickly and easily.
ìHaving a network of individual sites also means we will be able to work more effectively in providing services to the related professions.î
