Deadline looms for one in a million award nominations

Recruiters have only until the end of this week to submit their nominations for the One in a Million Award given to the UKís top temporary worker

Recruiters have only until the end of this week to submit their nominations for the One in a Million Award given to the UKís top temporary worker during National Temporary Workers Week which runs from June 4-8 this year.

Organiser the Recruitment and Employment Confederation, (REC), is reminding agencies that the deadline for nominations is this Friday (March 30), Copies of the nomination form can be downloaded from the website, www.tempweek.uk.com.

This year, entries are being accepted in 14 categories from which the overall One in a Million Award winner will be chosen. These include 12 sector categories and two new awards. Diversity Plus is for the nominee who has most challenged the stereotypical view of the kind of person to suit a particular role. The other is Stepping Stone for the temporary worker who has made the most successful transition into a permanent role.

Other sector categories will be: Agency Driver, Agency Office Worker, Agency Industrial Worker, Interim Manager, Supply Teacher, Locum, IT Contractor, TEC Contractor, Agency Nurse, Agency Social Worker, Agency Child Care Worker and Agency Care Worker.
