Croner Consulting Wins FSA Approval

Employment and Health & Safety specialists Croner Consulting, part of Wolters Kluwer (UK) Ltd, have today announced that their application to the Financial Services Authority (FSA) for authorisation has been granted.

The verdict means that as from 14 January 2005, Croner Consulting will be fully authorised to carry out general insurance activities, promising enhanced protection for their clients.

Previously regulated by the General Insurance Standards Council (GISC), Croner Consulting is one of the UK’s leading providers of advice in the legislative driven areas of Employment Law and Health & Safety.

Part of Wolters Kluwer (UK) Ltd, in whose name the authorisation is granted, Croner Consulting offers insured consultancy products which offer financial cover should a client be taken to an employment tribunal having followed the advice of a professional consultant.

By 14 January 2005, any business wishing to sell general insurance must be authorised by the FSA. To achieve authorisation, Croner Consulting was required to analyse all of their processes and procedures to ensure they were fair, clear and not misleading, ultimately leading to an enhanced level of service offered.
