A Crawley recruitment company, which was established in December 2014 to supply temporary, contract and permanent people to specialist industry sectors, is on target to turnover £1.2m in its first year and return a healthy profit, with help from SME financier, Ultimate Finance.

Talented People Solutions (TPS) was founded by businessman John Sanders, who was looking for a new challenge following a successful career in commerce.

With advice from his daughter Claire, who has more than 15 years’ experience within the recruitment industry, he seized upon the opportunity to start a recruitment agency in Crawley having been informed that three experienced recruiters were to be made redundant following the closure of a franchise.

John’s commercial background and wealth of experience in business development, project management and the IT sector enabled a fast start for the company, returning profit from day one.

It has continued to enjoy exceptional success leading to aggressive expansion plans backed by Ultimate Finance, which is assisting the business growth by providing an invoice finance facility. This enables TPS to draw down 90 percent of the invoice value almost immediately, rather than having to wait to be paid by its customers, which would limit cash flow and growth.

Initially providing personnel to sectors including industrial & engineering, hospitality, and airport services, TPS has since extended its services into commercial and technical, including IT. This has resulted in it signing up two major customers and attracting a number of blue chip accounts, including one of the UK’s largest single-site car park operators.

On the back of this success it is now planning to open a second office at the beginning of next year.

According to John Sanders, the company would not be in the position it is today without the help of Ultimate finance group, and in particular the expert advice given by their director Lynsey Innes.

John said, “Lynsey was a major factor in the business succeeding, as she not only introduced us to the benefits of invoice finance but she also recommended accountancy firm Mazars. Mazars handle all our Pay-and-Bill requirements, which ensures we adhere to the very strict and complicated compliance regulations. In fact we were so pleased with their service, we have now transferred all our accounting business to them.

“Our three companies work in partnership extremely well together and we are now looking forward to recruiting further specialist personnel for the new divisions, as well as staff for opening our new offices next year.”
