Clay Cross-based Fast Track Recruitment has beaten its financial targets by 84 per cent since its inception in January and is now joining forces with local training provider UKOTS to lay the foundations for future growth.
Fast Track Recruitment is owned and managed by husband and wife team Karl and Paula Diver. The consultancy specialises in the provision of skilled temporary workers for logistics, industrial, manufacturing and engineering businesses in the region.
The Divers have ambitious plans to open further branches and believe that a strategic partnership with UKOTS will help ensure their recruits are always top calibre. Recruits will be able to take courses in HIAB, forklift truck and crane driving, heightening their value to Fast Trackís clients.
Karl attributes the consultancyís meteoric rise to good planning and support from trusted third parties, and cites financial outsourcer Oriel Support as a key driver of Fast Trackís success.
ìWhen I decided to set up on my own, I knew my core skills as a recruitment consultant would enable me to grow the business quickly,î says Karl. ìHowever, I was concerned about the foundations of the business. I had little experience of financial planning and so many businesses, particularly recruitment consultancies, fail because of cash flow problems. However, Oriel provides funding that enables us to maintain a steady cash flow, despite the disparity between weekly payroll requirements and monthly invoicing.
ìFacing up to my fears and approaching Oriel Support was the best thing I could have done. The team looks after my entire payroll system, credit checking, credit insurance and invoice chasing professionally and effectively. This allows me to focus on what I do best. Weíre really excited about the future of the business, and Iím sure Oriel Support will continue to play a pivotal role in helping us to achieve our ambitions.î
