Jobsite and successful newspaper publisher, Clyde and Forth Press Ltd, today announce an exciting new partnership which significantly increases audience reach and job vacancy performance for both businesses, creating a powerful new partnership in the growing Scottish recruitment market. The new agreement brings together the national and multi-sector strength of Jobsite with the brand equity and local sector knowledge of one of Scotlandís leading newspaper groups. Under the new partnership, jobs advertised across Clyde & Forthís twenty-one Scottish titles will also be available on Jobsite.co.uk and the extended Jobsite network, providing Clyde & Forth advertisers with access to a potential 2.3 million monthly unique users and crucially, to sector specific jobhunters. Jobsite recruiters will also benefit, as their vacancies will now automatically be distributed to the twenty-one local newspaper websites, which attract almost 160,000 visits and over 80,000 unique users per month, significantly increasing relevant audience reach.
Scotland is a buoyant employment market which includes some of the major UK employers such as O2 and HBOS. The new partnerships represent an important part of Jobsiteís Scottish strategy and stems from the recognition that different jobseekers look for jobs in different ways ñ with some jobseekers preferring generalist sites such as Jobsite, whilst others prefer regional sites such as Jobsiteís ScotRecruit.com or more local specific sites such as those operated by Clyde & Forth. Jobsite also operates a further 13 sector specific sites including engineering, IT, construction and customer service to attract those Scottish candidates that prefer a sector led approach. Combined together, the Jobsite network and Clyde & Forth sites attract over 220,000 Scottish jobseekers per month.
Commenting on the partnership, Eddie Embleton, Digital Commercial Manager of Clyde and Forth Press Ltd, says: ìOur local newspapers have always been the first place to look for a local job in our local areas. Now as more and more people are also looking online for a new job we felt it was important that we can replicate our recruitment strength in print on the web, whilst continuing to offer an easy user experience, great content and put the jobseeker first. Through our new partnership we can offer our advertisers access to more candidates than ever before, whilst we can also offer our jobseekers a wider selection of job vacancies. î
Jobsite Managing Director, Keith Potts, says: ìClyde and Forth Press has a loyal and impressive readership of over 650,000 in print and 88,000 online and are a trusted news and information partner in the Scottish market. At Jobsite, we recognise that the UKís jobseekers look for jobs in different ways. We know that some jobhunters prefer to use strong local brands like Clyde and Forth, whilst others prefer a sector or more general approach. Through our current strategy working with established Scottish partners, as well as continuing to invest in both our sector sites and Jobsite.co.uk, we believe we can offer Scottish recruiters one of the most comprehensive market offerings.î
Jobsite will replace Clyde and Forthís current recruitment partner to power their regional online job websites, providing jobseekers on their sites with a quick and easy to use search function returning relevant vacancies. This new partnership also offers recruiters posting vacancies with the Clyde and Forth Scottish newspapers with access to sophisticated new CV matching technology which raises the profile of their jobs and helps to increase the number of quality applications received.
