The 2008 CIPD Recruitment Marketing Awards in partnership with the Guardian are launched today. These annual awards promote innovative recruitment marketing solutions and help raise standards across the industry.
This year the awards include a new category, Talent Planning, to reflect the rising demand for skilled workers in the UKís knowledge intensive economy. The awards will be judged by a panel of experts from the HR profession and the creative, digital, and recruitment marketing fields.
Helen Rosethorn, Chief Executive of Bernard Hodes and Joint Chair of Judges, says: ìPersistent skills shortages, the changing demographics of the UK workforce and the work-life balance agenda have led to increased competition for individuals who are capable of making the greatest difference to organisational performance. These awards recognise that innovative recruitment marketing campaigns are key to attracting top talent. It is an organisationís people, their skills and abilities which will now deliver competitive advantage.î
Gavin Anderson, Creative Director at Thirty Three and Joint Chair of Judges, adds: ìIn any organisation, itís the creativity that takes it forward. Recruitment and the attraction of all-important talent are no different, and weíre looking to reward the finest creativity in the country for an activity that can make a business ñ if the organisation gets it right.î
Every year, the awards enjoy high levels of industry interest, and act as a showcase for the impressive diversity of talent in the UK recruitment industry and the HR profession. The applications for the awards close on 28 March 2008. For a complete list of categories and images of previous winners visit www.cipdguardianawards.co.uk.
