Ceridian expands into Ireland by acquiring ITS

Ceridian has strengthened its international market presence in Human Resource services, through the acquisition of ITS Information Technology Systems Ltd, a leading provider of HR software solutions in Ireland. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Under the agreement, Ceridian Corporation of Minneapolis, MN, USA, (NYSE: CEN) will acquire 100% of the share capital of ITS Information Technology Systems Ltd, of Limerick, Ireland. The business in Ireland will henceforward be known as Ceridian, trading as Ceridian ITS. All employees will continue in their current roles at Limerick, supporting some 200 companies in Ireland which use the HR software products HRMS, Visual HRô and Sourceô.

This acquisition completes the transfer of all ITSís business to Ceridian, which began with the acquisition of ITS (UK) in 1999. The software delivered and supported by ITS in Ireland is provided under licence from Ceridian, and is the same software used by Ceridian in its global HR solution, currently operational at over 3,000 client sites in US, Canada and UK. In addition, ITS also developed and supports HRMS, which is used in companies in the UK, Ireland and the Caribbean.

Clients of Ceridian ITS are assured that not only is their HR software a strategic product of one of the largest providers of HR solutions in the world, but also that they will have access to the much wider range of services and managed solutions provided by Ceridian worldwide.
