Business in the Community is pleased to announce that Mike Rake takes up his position as Chairman today

Business in the Community is pleased to announce that Mike Rake takes up his position as Chairman today, an appointment that builds on his role with KPMG as UK Senior Partner and International Chairman.

Mike says I am delighted to take on the new Chairmanship of Business in the Community, it is a powerful organisation, which has always focussed on how business and the community can work together to tackle disadvantage.

Mike is being supported in his new role by a strengthened business leadership team, which has benefited from a number of key new appointments.

Tim Mason, Marketing Director at Tesco, will be spearheading Business in the Community’s response to the Government’s Corporate Challenge.

In addition to Tim’s appointment Business in the Community is pleased to announce the following new appointments to its board today;

Chairman of Rural Action, Mike Bailey, Group Chief Executive, Compass Group PLC Environment Leadership Team, David Jackson, Company Secretary, BP p.l.c. Business Action on Health, Sir Nigel Rudd, Chairman, Boots Group PLC Market Place Impact, Mike Clasper, Chief Executive, BAA plc
