TMP Worldwide is starting its relocation of its contact centre to Bristol from September 2008. Phase one of the relocation will see 36 positions initially recruited with the move completing in September 2009. The site will be at TMP Worldwideís current offices in Bristolís Lower Castle Street.
The relocation will be under the guidance of Angela Yates, Resourcing Solutions Director at TMP Worldwide. ìBristol has tremendous expertise in contact centres with many leading organisations basing their contact centre operations in the city,î she comments. ìBristol has the additional benefit of being close to a number of TMPís clients including Lloyds Telephone Banking and GCHQ.î
TMP Worldwideís operation differs from traditional contact centres as Resource Coordinators are not directly selling nor are they handling customer complaints, both of which can be challenging environments. Instead, Resource Coordinators will be the first point of contact for candidates looking to work for TMPís clients. ìIn every interaction the candidate will be wanting to give a positive impression which makes for a great environment,î says Angela. ìOur Resource Coordinators are the face of our clients. They will initially give candidates information about the job on offer and then liaise with candidates through the job application process.î
After an intensive two-week training period, the Resource Coordinators will be conducting competency-based interviews and will be responsible for the initial sifting of candidates for a wide variety of diverse roles. Team Managers will also be responsible for day-to-day liaison with TMPís clients.
ìThese are highly specialist roles and our above average salaries reflect this,î says Angela. ìThe Resource Coordinators will be working closely with our clients and will be representing leading employers nationwide. We are looking for top-quality people and we are sure that Bristol has the required talent to fill our roles.î
