Sourced in conjunction with UWE’s internship programme Alex Donnelly, Bethany James, Isabella Cross and Alice Garry will join the team to help assist with current business needs and project work helping to build a network of talent for the future

Ben Gill, Business Manager at Opus, commented: “By offering an 8-12 week placement over the summer, the scheme allows Opus to gain access to 2nd and 3rd year students from all academic courses.

“We know that with their fresh and original ideas, they can all contribute and add value to the Opus Group. They will be engaged in a variety of projects which will allow them an insight into a corporate environment, a reference to take forward and also a chance for them to earn some extra money during the summer months!

“We aim to do something different. We understand that the talent coming through is vital for both technology and its recruitment and so investing in our talent pipeline means that we can stay ahead of the game and provide the vital experience needed in such a competitive industry.”

Fresh from being shortlisted for the Best IT Recruitment Agency in the prestigious 2014 Recruiter Awards for Excellence, Opus are also planning on taking advantage of the strengthening economy with further exponential growth predicted.

With plans to increase headcount from 61 to 91 in the next 12 months and plans also to open a branch in Amsterdam within the next 6 months and California in 2015, Opus is sending out a strong message that they are an enormously attractive company to join.

Founded in 2008, Opus was featured in the Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track and ranked among the 100 fastest growing companies in the UK in 2012 and again in 2013. Opus was also ranked as 19th highest profit-making recruitment firm in the UK, whilst CEO Darren Ryemill was recognised as the recruitment Entrepreneur of the Year 2013 – the same year that Opus enjoyed annual billings of £13 million.
