Tim McNamara, Managing Director of Boyden Global Executive Searchís Washington DC office, has been appointed to the Airport Council Internationalís (ACI) World Security Standing Committee. Mr. McNamara leads Boydenís Global Transportation practice and is founder of the firmís Risk Management/Security practice.
Tim's broad experience in the field of aviation will be a tremendous asset for the ACI World Security Committee,î said ACI Director General, Robert J. Aaronson. ìHis knowledge of the global transportation industry and his experience in security issues gained through his work with the IACSP, ASIS, FAA and federal security agencies will enable him to contribute meaningfully to the vital work of the worldwide committee.

The ACI World Security Standing Committee covers security in airport design; passenger and baggage screening; access control; security technology; the impact of security on airport facilitation; biometric applications for security; cargo security; contingency planning for natural disasters; measures to combat biological and chemical threats to aviation; and auditing methodologies appropriate for airports based on compliance with ICAO Annex 17 (Security).
Mr. McNamara is widely recognized within the international multi-modal transportation community. He has consulted with the International Air Transport Association and National Transportation Safety Board as well as Airports Council International. Mr. McNamara is an active member of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) and American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA). He is also member of the American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS), Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), Institute of Management Consultants (IMC), International Association of Counterterrorism & Security Professionals (IACSP), International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH), International City/County Management Association (ICMA), and the National Aeronautical Association.
