Big issue launches specialist recruitment site

TBIjobs.co.uk

The Big Issue sees the official launch of its specialist recruitment web site, TBIJobs.co.uk, on 1st December 2003, complementing the magazine as a comprehensive sector recruitment resource.

The new web site builds on the well-established strength of the recruitment section in the magazine. Areas comprehensively covered by the new site include social care, health, housing, youth work, fundraising, teaching, personal care and volunteering.

As a resource for the sector the main facet of the site is that it will operate on a regional/local level as comprehensively as on a national level. The combined recruitment vacancies of The Big Issue, The Big Issue in the North, The Big Issue Cymru and The Big Issue South West will be available online, ensuring sector vacancies are accessible the length and breadth of the country.

The site also heralds the start of The Big Issue’s commitment to revamping its web site in its entirety. The Big Issue and The Big Issue Foundation are working together to formulate a more interactive and representative web site - TBIJobs.co.uk is the first tangible proof of this commitment.

Lisa Woodman, Publisher of The Big Issue comments;
This is an exciting new venture which makes job opportunities more accessible to our readers and in addition gives greater feasibility to advertisers. Over the next few months the web site will also begin to reflect more fully the work of The Big Issue and The Big Issue Foundation.
