Creation of new marketing and business development functions
The wide range of resourcing products now offered by Berkeley Scott is such that the company is looking to further develop the corporate Sales and Marketing function. In line with this strategy, recent key appointments have included the creation of two new roles, namely that of Marketing Manager for the Group and Business Development Manager.
Heading up the Marketing role is Bournemouth graduate, Mark Taffler. With a BA Hons in International Marketing Management, Mark subsequently worked as an Account Manager with Thomas Cook Marketing before taking on the role of Merchandise Marketing Manager at Chelsea Football Club. A dream job for a keen Chelsea supporter! He now takes on the Marketing function for the The Berkeley Scott Group. He comments: ìI am very much looking forward to joining such a fast growing company which remains firmly customer focused. My brief is to raise the profile of the company within the Hospitality sector and reinforce its market leading status. It is really exciting time to be joining the company which is currently embarking on ambitious expansion plans.
Taking on the new role of Business Development Manager is Rachel Butcher. Rachel joins Berkeley Scott from the UKís market leader in recruitment advertising, Barkers Group. She has a background in Resourcing Communications across all commercial industry sectors. Rachel comments: ìMy brief is to build the Berkeley Scott business through raising awareness of the excellent range of added value services we offer. I am really looking forward to the exciting challenge of taking on this role in such an innovative and dynamic organisation.î

The Berkeley Scott Group has recently announced plans for further expansion with new consultants being recruited across the UK and new office openings planned for 2005 in Liverpool, Newcastle and Belfast, to add to the two recent openings in Glasgow and Southampton.
