Benchpointô software developed by Epsom-based internet design and development business Hurstpark Limited (http://www.hurstpark.net), has won international recognition with an award from the USA. The software, developed for a client over two years, has been named Best New Measurement Product of 2004 by American publisher and internet portal, Measurement Standard.
Benchpointô was built by Hurstpark as a UK web polling and measurement application for employee and customer surveys in the corporate sector. The software collects survey data over the internet and displays fully analysed results in real time. It can measure virtually anything: HR, training and development issues, supplier confidence, shareholder opinion, environmental and safety audits, membership issues and more.
Andrew Minhinnick, managing director of Hurstpark, comments: ìWhere Benchpointô differs is that it gives clients the ability to make informed decisions, seconds after gathering the data. It removes uncertainty from decision making and empowers managers because they can work proactively in the full knowledge of their stakeholdersí reactions.î
He adds: ìWith Benchpointô, you donít need armies of people collecting data for weeks at a time, analysing the information and then producing a report which is already obsolete. We believe the system has more power and flexibility than anything else currently on the marketî.
The Benchpointô software has been used to carry out multi-lingual surveys worldwide, including measuring values and behaviours for an international engineering group, a pan-European audit of sales force skills, knowledge and training needs for a Japanese company and a survey on business confidence and job satisfaction for an interim management consultancy.
Benchpointô is currently running two public surveys. The first is on London parking enforcement (http://www.benchpoint.com/parking) and shadows an official enquiry by the Greater London Assembly. The second is aimed at Manchester United fans (http://www.Benchpoint.com/MU) and tracks reactions to the prospect of a takeover of the club by Malcolm Glazer.
Hurstpark will continue developing the technology into various HR measurement tools, an organisational effectiveness diagnostic tool and for use on telephones and PDAís.
