Bean Man raced past a number of celebrities during Sundayís London Marathon to finish in a very credible 4 hours 16 minutes 30 seconds.
Bean Landís superhero and Broadbean mascot, Bean Man, beat Dragons Den presenter Evan Davis by one minute to the finishing line. Potty mouthed chef Gordon Ramsay, The Apprenticeís Michelle Dewberry and Nell McAndrew (OK she did run it with her mum this time!) were all beaten by Bean Man.
Sarah Gordon from The Sammons Group was the lucky winner of the 80G Apple Video iPod. Sarah, who is Chief Operations Officer at the group, which recruits for a variety of sectors including public sector, pensions and the financial markets, said that she closed her eyes to guess our superheroís finishing time! Sarah said, ìMost people donít finish it in less than four hours, and for the minutes, I just closed my eyes and clicked!î
Sarah who is a devoted G4 (of X Factor fame) and classical music fan says that ìWinning the Ipod is fantastic; I can watch all of my G4 Videos on it now!î Sarah was at the Marathon on Sunday, she did not manage to catch a glimpse of the green blur that was Bean Man, though she did catch her hero, G4ís Ben Thapa, struggling around the course.
Sarah, who has been at the Sammons Group for nine Years, entered the Bean Man competition through the Broadbean Newsletter. The competition has helped to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Childrenís Charity, raising 980 so far, leaving us just 20 short of our fundraising target. Please donate today at:
