Last year was a record year for Bayt.com in terms of revenue growth, job postings and registrations of new job seekers and employers, according to CEO Rabea Ataya.

Now firmly established as the resource of choice for employers, job seekers and recruitment agencies across the region, the Middle Eastís í#1 job siteí is on track to have two million job seekers in its database by the end of the year.

íBayt.com celebrated attracting 1 million job seekers in February 2006, now weíre expecting to have 2 million career professionals on-board by the end of 2007,í said Ataya. íSteady investment in our regional network, people and award-winning online services have extended Bayt.comís leadership position - and further improvements to the customer and user experience are top of the agenda this year.í

2006 was a boom year for Bayt.com in terms of job seekers choosing Bayt.com for their employment searches and employers relying on its award-winning platform to fulfil their recruitment needs at all levels. New job seeker registrations were up 30% in 2006 compared to 2005 and CV registrations on the site jumped nearly 50%.

The number of companies registering with Bayt.com to gain access to its database of more than 1.3 million professional job seekers increased 23% in 2006. The number of job postings on the site, from entry-level positions to senior management roles with blue chip companies, also shot up 70% last year.

More than 26,000 employers, representing companies of all sizes, now hire through Bayt.com, making it the largest single pool of employers for job seekers anywhere in the region.

Ataya said: íThese great figures endorse the efficacy and reach of Bayt.comís award-winning website and are clear evidence of the emergence of online recruitment as an indispensable tool for regional employers.í

Another vote of confidence in Bayt.comís superior service and state-of-the-art platform came from the UAE Web Awards in Dubai last December. Bayt.com won the award for Best UAE Website as the unanimous choice of a panel of top industry analysts and academics.

Ataya added: íOur commitment in 2007 will be to continue to deliver to both employers and job seekers superior choice, industry knowledge and regional expertise. Our leadership stems from our ability to understand the needs and dimensions of each market in which we operate. With 10 regional offices and scores of consultants, we offer tailored local solutions to meet all recruitment needs.í

Bayt.com matches regional expertise with global reach, and a portion of its 1.3 million-strong database is made up of talent outside the Middle East, from graduates of top universities to blue chip professionals.

The success stories of Bayt.com members who have found jobs are inspiring new entrants into the labour market, and the íBayt Works For Me!í competition is yet more evidence that the Bayt.com model delivers results.

Thousands of successful job seekers from across the region have contributed their stories to the site through the contest, which is running now, from young professionals graduating from local colleges to career professionals from outside the region who have been selected by top multinationals.
