Leading talent acquisition, leadership development and diversity advisory organisation Barrington Hibbert Associates (BHA),has a big year ahead as it announces that it will be taking part in the ‘London to Amsterdam Challenge 2016’, as well as a new addition to its leadership team and new offices in Shoreditch.
Starting on 3rd June 2016 the event will see the recruitment specialist join over 500 other riders in a two-day, 145 mile cycle from London to Amsterdam, raising over £500,000 for Prostate Cancer in the process. Prostate cancer, the most common cancer in men in the UK, saw over 43,000 new cases arise in 2012 resulting in close to 11,000 deaths. Through its involvement in the cycle challenge BHA will, for the third year in succession, be raising money to find more reliable tests and treatments and in doing so, help to enable more men to survive prostate cancer.
At the same time, BHA, which specialises in the recruitment of senior and middle management positions for a select client roster of global professional services and financial institutions, is also delighted to announce the appointment of Solomon Animashaun as its new Senior Partner and Chief Operating Officer. Animashaun, who has worked with governments and corporates across Africa, delivering turn-key solutions in oil and gas, shipping, agriculture, real estate and engineering industries, joins as BHA enjoys continued business momentum and increased revenue generation. A key member of the BHA leadership team, Solomon’s role will be to spearhead BHA’s financial markets offering in Europe and its expansion into Africa and the Middle East. This new appointment coincides with BHA’s move to edgy new offices in trendy Shoreditch, famed for its ‘Silicon Roundabout’, contemporary culture and eclectic and diverse community.
Michael Barrington Hibbert, CEO of Barrington Hibbert Associates, comments “This is an incredibly exciting time for the organisation. Not only are we making great strides in terms of business growth and strategic planning with Solomon’s appointment and our office move to larger premises, but we are also continuing to progress the other side of our business which is all about supporting charities and worthwhile causes and ensuring that we take our corporate social responsibility seriously. This will be the third year in a row that our organisation has joined Prostate Cancer UK in the London to Amsterdam cycle challenge and we are delighted to be able to do our part in raising funds and awareness for such a worthy cause.”
Keen to differentiate itself in the ultra-competitive recruitment landscape, Barrington Hibbert Associates has long since affiliated itself with numerous community driven projects, from its two year partnership with independent charity The Brokerage in which they collaborate to provide pathways of opportunity into employment for young people in London, to its continued work within its own BHA Foundation and ‘Inspire Through Sport’ programme which gives underprivileged children in Africa the chance to reach their true potential through sport and education and most recently its sponsorship of the Ipswich Town Ladies Football Club.
Barrington-Hibbert continues, “Although we are based in the capital we’re keen to be seen as a non London-centric organisation and as such affiliate ourselves with numerous organisations not only throughout the city of London, or nationally, but also globally through our Inspire Through Sport programme. I am absolutely delighted to be able to take my entire team with me on this year’s London to Amsterdam bike ride and reaffirm our commitment to being an organisation with a strong social conscience with giving being a central part of our culture and DNA.”
