Barclaycard, a multi-brand credit card and consumer loans business which also processes card payments for retailers and merchants and issues credit and charge cards to corporate customers and the UK Government, has agreed to participate at a breakfast seminar on 23 March in Central London. The organisers are WCN Plc, a leading e-recruitment software supplier based in London and the company responsible for writing the second edition to the ìGuide to Best Practice in e-Recruitmentî for the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
Caroline Hamilton, resourcing manager at Barclaycard will be speaking on how Barclaycard transformed its volume recruitment by introducing technology into the recruitment process. She will highlight the advantages of installing an e-recruitment system to recruit large numbers of people. ìFrom placing an ad in the press it took us just three weeks to recruit 231 people for our call centres!î says Caroline. ìWithout the technology, it would normally have taken an inordinate amount of time, money and resources to recruit that many people.î
ìBarclaycard had a labour-intensive recruitment process. We are delighted that they have agreed to participate at our seminar to relate to delegates about the benefits of installing an online recruitment system and also some of the hurdles to overcome,î commented Charles Hipps, managing director of WCN Plc.
The seminar is free and is open to HR Directors and managers. There will be an introduction into best practice in e-recruitment and recruitment trends by WCN, followed by Barclaycard presenting ìTransforming Recruitment with Technologyî. Afterwards, there is an opportunity to put your questions to Caroline.
