Aon Consulting, a pension, benefits and HR consulting firm, has been appointed by Acision, the messaging and charging company of choice for over 300 network operators and service providers worldwide, to run its UK flexible benefits programme. The appointment illustrates Aonís ability to take on an existing benefits programme and adapt it to a fresh set of corporate objectives.
Acision was formed in June 2007 following the sale of Logica. The company employs 1,500 people in 22 countries across six continents. The new benefits programme that Aon will deliver is a core component of Acisionís corporate strategy.
The new programme, Flexible Acision Benefits (FAB), which is supported by its own website, contains new benefits which have been added to reflect Acisionís corporate objectives, with particular emphasis on corporate social responsibility. New benefits include: Wellness & Learning Accounts to provide financial support to employees looking to improve their physical/mental health; a Charity Account, which allows employees to give money to good causes; a partnership with the UK's leading woodland conservation charity, the Woodland Trust enabling employees to offset part of their annual carbon emissions by planting trees; and Home Emergency Cover, a benefit designed to relieve employees of the stress of dealing with household emergencies.
In addition, FAB contains existing benefits that have been re-brokered where necessary to mirror those that employees had access to as part of Logica.
Sara Seaton, UK HR Manager at Acision, said: ìWe believe that following the formation of Acision last year it was imperative to create a flexible benefits programme that reflects our own corporate values and objectives here at Acision. We have worked very closely with Aon Consulting to introduce new benefits that have a particular focus on well-being and corporate social responsibility. Take-up of the new benefits has been high and weíve already had some great feedback. In particular, we are keen to support employeesí mental and physical health and the Wellness Account is perfect for that.î
Mark Chamberlain, Global Compensation & Benefits Manager at Acision, said:î The design, delivery and roll out of the UK Flex Plan in the timeframes resulting from the separation from Logica has been a real achievement for Aon and Acisionís UK HR operations team. The work completed here will provide a solid platform on which to build and develop ëflexí plans for Acision globally.î
Gareth Ashley-Jones, head of flexible benefits at Aon Consulting, commented: ìIt has been immensely rewarding to work with Acision to develop a comprehensive flexible benefits programme and we are delighted that it received very positive feedback ñ proof that the programme has hit the mark for Acisionís employees.î
