The Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC) and BlueSteps.com announced today their new podcast series featuring leaders in the retained executive search industry. By talking to industry leaders, the AESC hopes to bring to light important global trends in the executive search industry. The podcast series is being launched by an interview with Clarke Murphy, Chief Executive Officer of Russell Reynolds Associates, conducted by AESC President, Peter M. Felix.

The podcast highlights current trends in retained executive search, including industry and regional recruitment activity, as well as topics centered around executive boards.

Clarke Murphy commented: "Healthcare and technology are at the forefront of every country, everywhere, and even in the developing economies—just look at Brazil over the last decade—they have utilized technology investment in their own borders to bridge into something international...Energy is going to grease the wheels of industry and nationality, for a long time to come. We are enormously busy—the whole industry is, in and around energy."

When asked about the current state of boards in different regions around the world, Murphy offered: "I would say the split of the chair and CEO role will increasingly be accepted in America. And, then, going into emerging markets, for diversity of thought in the boardrooms of America, to understand where new revenue can be found."
