Adecco launches itís Commitmentís Programmeí publicly, guaranteeing service levels for clients and candidates alike

London UK - 20th September 2004 - Adecco, today launched its nationwide íCommitmentsí programme, an innovative new scheme to provide transparent service levels to clients and candidates designed to redress specific negative perceptions of the recruitment industry as a whole.

Based on extensive market research and a successful pilot scheme in France, Commitments will be implemented across Adeccoís 350 strong branch network immediately and supported by an aggressive national awareness campaign targeted at prospective clients and candidates.

The Adecco Commitments are based around core service levels of responsiveness and quality of candidates for clients and suitability of vacancies, skills development and benefits programmes for candidates.

Richard MacMillan, MD of Adecco UK, comments, The recruitment industry has a real challenge to convince UK businesses that we can provide a reliable and valuable service and itís Adeccoís responsibility as the UKís biggest recruiter to change this.

Client Commitments also offer very clear compensation should Commitments ever be broken. For example refund vouchers to be provided if candidates do not match requirements, or if placements cannot be found, 10% will be deducted from the next client invoice. (see editorís notes)

MacMillan continued, Commitments programme is specifically designed to address some of the typical concerns that employers have when considering whether to use agencies. This is not just a marketing exercise, weíre putting definite financial commitments in place to ensure that if íCommitmentsí arenít kept, the clients and candidates will benefit.
