Adecco, today announced the appointment of Tig Gilliam (42) as Country Manager of Adecco US and Canada as of March 1, 2007. He will replace Ray Roe (61), who will become Country Manager of Australia, New Zealand and South-East Asia, a new position catering to the growing importance of those markets.
Tig joins Adecco from IBM Global Business Services, where he has been the global head of Supply Chain Management Services. Before joining IBM in 2002, Tig spent 15 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers in the US, starting as a consultant to then become principal and partner.
Ray has led Adeccoís North American operations since 2004. He has over 13 years of experience within Adecco Group businesses. In 1998, Ray assumed control of Adecco Group operations in Asia Pacific, where he spearheaded the companyís growth in that region.
I am pleased to welcome Tig Gilliam, bringing the experience to the company needed to further implement Adeccoís strategic focus on specialized occupational fields, said Adecco Group CEO Dieter Scheiff.
I would also like to thank Ray Roe for his great efforts in stabilizing our North American operations, demonstrating strong leadership during a challenging period, maintaining market and customer confidence, and transforming the business from an underperforming unit to one that has delivered outstanding bottom line results. Ray has positioned North America for continued success, and I am delighted he will continue in a senior leadership role as he returns to Australia.
Tig Gilliam will replace Ray Roe as member of the Executive Committee. Both Tig and Ray report directly to Adecco Group CEO Dieter Scheiff.
